Loneliness Awareness Week is just a few weeks away! We're looking for short-term volunteers to join our team who can help us make this years campaign the biggest and best yet!
Role outline
We are looking for short term admin volunteers to support our small,
friendly team as we work on our annual Loneliness Awareness Week (LAW)
campaign, which runs from June 12th-18th 2023. Can you give a day (or
more) of time a week, from now until mid June?
From our office in St Pauls, Bristol, you’ll be using your confident and friendly
phone manner to reach out to people from the commercial, public and
private sectors. You’ll be helping to spread the word about the LAW
project, building rapport and developing partnerships.
Loneliness Awareness Week 2023
Brought to you by Marmalade Trust, Loneliness Awareness Week is
dedicated to raising awareness of loneliness and getting people talking
about it, across the UK and beyond.
For the first time, LAW runs for a whole week from 12th - 18th June and this
year's theme is “Connection Matters”. Whether it’s your regular barista, the
friendly dog on your walk, or the shopkeeper down the road. Everyday
moments of connection matter. They allow us to make connections, feel
happier and less lonely. For Loneliness Awareness Week 2023, we're
encouraging everyone to harness these moments of connection. Together,
we can all feel less lonely.
